Dan Kemp
Founder of Rightly United Ministries

Rightly United Ministries was founded by Dan Kemp, an ordained minister of unity, reconciliation and effectiveness. Dan holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, is a licensed minister of the Gospel, and has experience as a commissioned corporate chaplain. In addition, Dan is certified in Intentional Interim Ministry as well as Conflict Resolution and Mediation.

His 25+ years of business experience with IBM have uniquely endowed Dan with corporate effectiveness skills. His many years of experience in church work provides him with tremendous insight into the special problems faced by churches today. In 1993 Dan followed God's call to begin a ministry of unity, reconciliation, effectiveness and renewed focus to churches. Today Rightly United Ministries works through a team of highly skilled, Spirit-driven individuals helping churches throughout the U.S.

    • Held part-time employment with IBM during college from September, 1966 through January, 1969
    • Began full-time career with IBM on February 7, 1969
      • Worked in the Pentagon before being drafted into the Army in September, 1969
      • Joined IBM's Skylab space project at the Johnson Space Center at Houston following Army tour
      • Worked on the Space Shuttle project from 1973 through 1980
      • Transferred to IBM's commercial software project in Irving, Texas, in August, 1980
      • Moved with that operation to Westlake, Texas, in September, 1987
    • Went on unpaid leave of absence from IBM to start this ministry on July 30, 1993; retired on March 1, 1999
